Each sensor in Loranet’s network must transmit small but critical data packets continuously. Relying on multiple local SIM providers created several issues:
Fragmented network coverage between urban and rural sites

As Loranet prepared to scale nationwide, it needed a reliable, unified, and cost-effective IoT platform that could support thousands of devices seamlessly across Malaysia.

By integrating 1NCE IoT SIMs into its sensors and gateways, Loranet achieved:

From 2024 to 2025, the rollout expanded to around 20,000 connected devices across Malaysia. About 10,000 of these devices use 1NCE SIMs.
Network reliability remained strong, with uptime above 99.3%. Thanks to a simpler setup, device deployment became 35–40% faster compared to using multiple connectivity providers.
By working with a single provider, ongoing operational costs dropped by 20–25% per device, and logistics became easier to manage.
Before 1NCE, deploying a device took about 90 minutes on average. With 1NCE, this was reduced to around 55 minutes, saving time on every deployment. Connectivity uptime improved from 96% to over 99%, making the service more reliable.
Managing SIMs also became simpler. Instead of coordinating with three to four local operators, the setup moved to one provider. Coverage expanded from major cities to nationwide, supporting wider and more consistent deployments.
