Background
GMV Sistemas SAU, based in Spain, is an international technology group operating in industries such as automotive, space, defense, and cybersecurity. The company is known for building advanced, mission-critical systems for customers worldwide.
One of its flagship products, MOVILOC, is a GPS-enabled telematics platform that allows companies to manage vehicles, machinery, and mobile assets remotely. By combining tracking, telemetry, and real-time analytics, MOVILOC helps businesses reduce operational costs, improve efficiency, and ensure safety - making it a vital tool for fleet managers operating across Europe and North Africa.
Challenge
As MOVILOC adoption grew, GMV faced increasing pressure on its connectivity model:
Unpredictable roaming costs created budget uncertainty for both GMV and its customers.
Managing thousands of SIMs across multiple providers became time-consuming, adding unnecessary complexity to operations.
These limitations made it difficult for GMV to scale MOVILOC efficiently and continue delivering a smooth customer experience.
