Partnering with NUVATHINGS and 1NCE has enabled Clic Recycle to embed advanced environmental monitoring into its nature-based solutions, CLIC TERRA and CLIC SEA. By deploying NUVA’s solar-powered IoT dataloggers equipped with 1NCE software and connectivity, Clic Recycle ensured reliable and consistent data transmission—even in environments where conventional networks struggle. The use of NB-IoT and LTE-M fallback provided resilient, redundant connectivity, while static IP and multi-profile support enabled seamless backup communications.
Through 1NCE OS, Clic Recycle gained full visibility and control over its devices across diverse and challenging deployments. Secure data transmission, fully encrypted and compliant with leading standards, guaranteed the integrity of environmental monitoring in both agricultural fields and marine environments.
The tech has already proven itself: The CLIC TERRA system was successfully tested at the Paiporta Experimental Station under the supervision of the University of Almería. Meanwhile, CLIC SEA launched at the Port of Barcelona with full sandbox support, demonstrating the robustness of the system in real-world conditions.
As a result of the collaboration, Clic Recycle achieved a 30% reduction in communication outages in rural and coastal areas, up to 15 days of operational autonomy from its solar-powered dataloggers, and 100% data transmission integrity during nationwide network disruptions. The technology has enabled precise, real-time environmental data collection both on land and at sea—validating the scalability and effectiveness of sustainable alternatives to plastic.
“The Port of Barcelona has collaborated with Clic Recycle on the pioneering CLIC SEA project, integrating the first nature-based decontamination solutions with advanced IoT monitoring. Today, with the Blue Tech Port, we reflect our strong commitment to driving innovation and sustainability in the blue economy.”
— Emma Cobos, Director of Innovation and Business Strategy, Port of Barcelona
“Partnering with Clic Recycle in the CLIC TERRA trials demonstrates our shared vision of applying smart monitoring technologies to validate sustainable alternatives to plastics in agriculture. Supporting innovative startups is key to transforming research into real-world environmental solutions.”
